The Bestest Cowboy

There once was a cowboy, his name was Lee, The bestest cowboy, that ever you’ll see. His boots were spiffy, his buckle shone bright, his hat was stupendous, his hair, just right. His shirt was checkered red, white and blue, at his waist was looped his trusty lasso. His buttons shone white, they were made of pearl, he could win the heart of any cowgirl. He’d swagger along, kicking dust in his stride, thumbs in his braces, exuding such pride. The baddies would run, they knew to get out, it just wasn’t safe, if Lee was about. Lee’s horse was named Boo, a fine little steed, whenever she raced she’d be in the lead. Boo was his friend, they lived side by side, he so trusted Boo that he’d leave her untied. The two of them made, a magnificent pair. The town would all cheer, throwing hats in the air, as Lee and his horse, would ride around town, checking for trouble, every sundown. One day from the west rode Billy the Kid, with a mean looking band, the whole town hid, A famous person was Billy the Kid, with a big reputation, for the things that he did. “I hear there’s a hero, a Cowboy named Lee,” said Billy the Kid, “bring him to me.” The townspeople gasped, as Lee strolled up the street, with Boo, right behind him, close to his feet. “How can I help you,” asked Cowboy Lee, “We don’t want no trouble, the townsfolk and me.” Billy the Kid, leant over his steed, “We want you to join us,” and his band all agreed..............
