A fun picture book about a Boogie Woogie Bird (ie Stone Curlew) that tries on the dancing style of different birds that just don’t suit his long skinny legs – until just the right bird comes along. Simply but beautifully illustrated. Entertaining and also educational. – JEANETTE

I keep thinking about this picture book a year after I first read it! It’s a really interesting mix of rhythmic text that encourages children to get up and moving (interactive picture books are my favourite!) and understated, sophisticated illustrations in a limited palette.
